Venue work demands more than a good set list: bands need to draw a crowd, fit their rig into a small stage, respect sound limiters, and hold the room from the first set to last call. Look for acts with regular venue experience and live video from a similar-sized room.
One-off gigs vs residencies
For a one-off night, book at standard gig rates (duos from around $600, full bands $1,500-$2,500). For weekly or monthly residencies, most acts agree a reduced recurring rate. Confirm set lengths, gear and load-in times so the night runs itself.
